I was asked the other day what my tattoos meant to me. Right after that I was asked by a different person , why I had tattoos and did it stop people from wanting to study with me . I asked them why would that stop someone from wanting to learn from me ? they said that it gave the impression that I was either out of jail or a psycho or just generally unbalanced.... I still smile about the last comment.... I don't see myself as unbalanced , although Ron might disagree... Anyway, good questions.... Remember that there are some very famous kung fu persons in history who were tattooed...the most famous is a person who was known throughout China as " Nine tattooed dragon." If anyone else is tattooed it would be nice to hear some input.... As time goes by I'll show some articles that were printed and I'll post some pictures......

Hi George Not a great picture, makes me look fat.... Anyway, thanks for the compliment and yeah , it's a full suit from the neck to the wrists to the ankles with absolutely no bare skin. Did the full suit as a tribute to GM Wong after he passed. Long story, We'll sit and talk some day ....

Hi Sifu Gary, I don't have any tattoos, but as a Chiropractor I've seen many. Sometimes I wonder what the hell they were thinking. I can honestly tell you those are the best tattoos I've ever seen. The man who did the work is a true artist. Have a great day!
Mark

Thanks for the compliments ! Tattoos have been done from the beginning of time. When the first cave dweller poked himself with a stick from a fire and it left a mark, it caught on. They have found people preserved in ice ,dated back thousands of years ago with intricate tattoos on their bodies. The Chinese used the tattoo as a mark so others could recognise people who were not favored by the authorities. This caught on and most of the kung fu rebels tattooed themselves . Later on , the Japanese picked up on the idea and it seems to have traveled to every culture in theworld.. And Steeve, the answer is yes. There is no bare skin from the ankles to the wrists to the neck.
