A big Thank You to everyone who has showed up for our workouts ! We have gone over ma ny things on this trip. I hope I was able to make some changes in your training and able to open your eyes to some new things. I hope you realize now that there are other things besides forms to work on. Remember that the origin of our style is connected to the Shaolin temple , and the Buddhist monks were the teachers. what I've learned , and am still learning , from the monks in Thailand has opened my eyes , and has filled in the gaps that were missing. One more week, so think of anything that you want to ask , and I'll be more than happy to pass on anything I can..

Well, today is my last day @ Stoner Park, and I head back home tonight. Thanks to all that made this trip possible. You have plenty of work ahead of you. Most of you know where you are lacking and what you need to work on. Hopefully, I can make the trip next year, but that will depend on whether you need me to come. It's a funny thing, some feel that there is no more to learn. Some give themselves names, and titles, etc, and think because somewhere along the line they have received a certificate that there is nothing more to learn............ Sorry. Learning never stops. You have to look inside yourselves, and be honest ! when you lie to others, you are lying to yourself. Look at yourself as you want others to look at you.......................Hopefully, see you next time............

Hi Everyone
We have had a very good year this year, and I feel greatly honored that Gary has once again chosen to make the difficult trip to visit us and teach. His visits are not to be taken for granted by anyone, period. His only reason to come to the US is to teach us. To be here he must leave his family and his home and fly a difficult 18 hours each way to be here and work with us. I know I must do a better job of earning his next visit, and I hope you agree that his visits are important and that they must be earned. Earning anything takes hard work. We can all help with the monetary aspect by paying our class dues - $5 a class is nothing for what you can take home from class. If anyone wishes to be more generous, so much the better. Think to yourself how much a visit from Gary means to you, and how much more it may mean to another student. Then you can see your dues become a gift to a friend. When Gary teaches something valuable to that friend - myself, Pat or Jay or Jim Narney just to name a few - and we teach it back to you it becomes a gift to you. A fulfilling circle. Although money can be an issue, it is less significant than attitude. I have resolved to devote more time to working out with you all and making the class a better and more productive time for all of us. We must not forget to sweat. We are all students together, no matter how long or how short a time we have studied. My from needs work and I must turn to you to improve it. If everyone else agrees to come to class with an open spirit and work together, things will go well. I think it is that spirit that is most important. If our spirit is good and we really want it to happen we will earn another visit. The value of things we will take home from a visit we have earned will be incalculable. Thank you again Gary,
Jim

I've tried to be open and helpful to everyone on this forum, but it seems nobody really cares, so this will be my last posting until people decide they want to keep it active.
